The Porsche Cayman is a mid-engined, rear wheel drive 2-seat sports car produced by Porsche AG of Germany. First launched in the 2006 model year, the Cayman is a coupé derived from Porsche's second generation Boxster convertible. Like the Boxster, most Caymans are assembled in Finland. Cayman's production will be outsourced to Magna Steyr Fahrzeugtechnik of Graz, Austria. The Cayman is one of the best driver's cars in the world, and if you can afford it, it's at its best as the S, with a larger, more powerful engine that makes the car much better, but without costing too much more. Thanks to the Porsche personalisation programme, you can specify a Cayman almost entirely to your wishes and which will be hand-built by the company's own craftsmen. And, after the opening of the Driving Experience Centre at Silverstone, anyone who buys a new Cayman is eligible for a course at the centre as part of the buying package.
